18 ABILENE CHRISTIAN COLLEGE
YOU MUTST DECIDE
The very best opportunities are open in all of the activities of
life, for thoroughly trained, energetic young men and young ladies.
Will you take advantage of them and build for yourself a noble, happy
and useful life? Or will you stand still and see others pass by you and
succeed while you fail? You must decide and it would be well for you
to decide promptly.
WAITING IS DANGEROUS
If you wait to get all things just as you would like, you will likely
remain always just where you are. If difficulties lie in your way,
begin now to break them down. Others have overcome the very same
things. So can you. The time to do it is now. While you wait others
with no more talent are going right ahead. We have assisted otherswe
may be able to assist you. Write us plainly and fully of your difficulties
and we shall gladly helg you if we can.
MAKE THE CHANGE NOW
"Great events hang by a thread." The decision to break away
from your old life and surroundings and go to school and remain
until you are thoroughly trained for life's work, you will always
look upon as one of the great events of your life. That decision
hangs now by a thread. Break the thread. Be with us on opening day.
But if you can't come at that time, come when you can. You can enter
any day.
A WORD TO PARENTS
You have succeeded without education. Yes, and you can't tell
how much better you might have succeeded with education. And conditions
are different now. Competition is keener in every department
of life. Things are moving now all along the line. Your boys and
girls must move or be left behind. Their bodies must be strong for
endurance. Their minds must be clear and active. The money and
sacrifice you put into their training will be the very best money you
ever spend for them or give to them. And don't make the fatal mistake
of sending them to a school where all attention is given to the
body and mind, while the soul is neglected.
MORAL AND RELIGIOUS INFLUENCE
Abilene Christian College is pre-eminently an institution for Christian
education. Every day's work begins with devotional exercises
and every lesson is taught by a Christian teacher. The Bible is believed
to be the inspired word of God and students are taught to
reverence it as such and to obey its precepts.
