SESSION OF 1918-'19
IMPORTANT NOTICE
Every student must pay tuition and fees for each term in advance,
either in cash or by giving a good note which we can use. No money
thus paid will be returned. In case of illness for two weeks or more
a "due bill" will be given the student, which will be accepted on the
tuition for the next term. We know from experience these regulations
are best for the students and that they are absolutely necessary
for the school. When a student is dismissed or is requested to withdraw
no refund is allowed.
'SPECIAL BATES
No special rates or discounts of any kind will be given. The
same prices and terms will be made to all.
Those who are actually engaged in preaching and the children of
such will be given free literary tuition-but no fees or board.
PLEASE BE CAREFUL
Some parents persist in giving their children too much spending
money. It is not best for your children to spend too much money.
In a vast majority of cases it does them much injury, and it does harm
in the school. If you send it to them it is very difficult for us to
prevent their spending it. They need very little general spending
money. Require them to send you each month an itemized statement
of what they spend. This will save you money, give your children
good training, teach them economy, and save them from the evils of
spending money for things not best for them. It will also save much
needless trouble in the school.
Don't send your children all the money they ask for and then
tell people "it costs too much money to send to Abilene Christian
College." Money which you allow to be wasted and harmfully used
you have no right to charge up to school expenses.
All money for tuition and board should be sent directly to the
President of the College. This will in a number of instances prevent
money intended for these expenses being spent for needless things,
and unpleasant misunderstandings. If you will co-operate with us in
this it will save you money and bless your child.61
