SESSION OF 1920-'21

UNIFORMS
A simple, inexpensive uniform will be used, consisting of a coat
suit. The uniforms will be purchased under the direction of Mrs.
J. P. Sewell. These uniforms will avoid extravagance in dress by our
boarding girls. We suggest simple dresses for every-day wear. If you
have plenty of money there is no reason why you should waste it on
your daughters while they are in school. It will do them harm and not
good. Young ladies who expect to study music and expression should
be provided with simple inexpensive white dresses for recitals. No
low-neck, sleeveless "evening gowns" will be allowed. They do not
belong to school life. This rule will be faithfully observed during the
session.
CORRESPONDENCE AND VISITS INVITED
If there is anything in which you are interested as to the work of
our institution, please write us fully and freely. At any time during
the year we welcome visits from our patrons and friends. Write us
and we will meet you at the station. You will be welcomed.
CONSERVATION OF TIME AND ENERGY
We read and hear a great deal about conservation. The most important
conservation is the conservation of time and energy of the
individual. In this age of intense physical and mental activity the
individual who would succeed and last must so order his life as to be
free as possible from all friction and without a waste of time and
energy. Every student is led to work according to a well ordered program.
The general program in Daisy Hall, Zellner Hall, and in every
home where our students board, will be as follows:
6:30- 7:00-Arise and arrange rooms.
7:00- 8:00-Breakfast.
8:00-10 :00-Study and recitations.
10:00-10 :30-Chapel.
10:30-12:30-Study and recitations.
12:30- 1:30-Lunch.
1:30- 3:30-Study and recitations.
3:30- 6:00-Exercise.
6:00- 7:00-Dinner.
7:00-10:30-Study.
WHAT WE CAN DO
We can offer a college of the first-class. With our splendid equipment
and our excellent faculty of Christian men and women, we can
furnish the environment. We cannot guarantee the growth. We can
teach, admonish, encourage, reprove, chasten, and exhort. We can
pray that God may use us to bless the boys and girls who are given
into our charge. We can work and pray that the purpose of Abilene
Christian College, aside from the opportunity to function in the secular
education of the young, may be realized. We can teach the Bible as
the Word of God. We can work and pray to the end that the truth
of the message may mould character and may be the lamp of life; that
students may use the message in the various forms of religious work;
