The matter of a city park for
Bartlett is being agitated by
some of our citizens, and the
Tribune hopes tho matter will be
pushed to that end. The grove
West of town is tho ground to be
selected and without very much
expenditure could bo made a
most desirable park, and the
party who takes hold of?the pro-
ject and materializes it, will have
a paying investmonc. Lot us
have a city park.

Tho gist of a lengthy commun-
ication by one C. E. Gilbert
in the Austin Statesman is that
the voters (democratic) in Wil-
liamson and Burnett counties,
woro led up to the ballot box liko
liitlo "vellow pups," wiih a string
and forced to vote at tho will of
a little ring of tricksters. The
insult offered tho voters of these
counties by tho Statesman's little
coterie of immaculates would
arouso tho indignation of any
poople. Tho truth seems to be
that tho Statesman's little squad
havo long sinco concluded to
bolt as usual, and put out one
of their number as an indoppn-
dent. The track is prepared.
Trot out your Rosinante and
