Presentation inscription on 2nd leaf: "Mrs Margaret C. Taylor / from / Dec 18 1893, Her Husband". Extensive notes on blank leaves and in parts of text, primarily recording the history of Washington Anderson and his family. Verso of 2nd leaf with hand-written copies of land grant information; recto of 3rd leaf with affixed receipt from Assessor & Collector's office, Williamson County, dated March 14, 1864 for payment of taxes by Washington Anderson, paid in Confederate money; verso of 3rd leaf with history of Washington Anderson, possibly written by his daughter?; Verso of title page with information on Robert Hay Taliferro (who married Chloe Anderson, Washington's daughter), quoted from "Flowers and Fruits" by Z.N. Marrell(?). P. vii with list of members of 16th Texas Infantry; p.470-471 with affixed newspaper clipping about John Osborn Nash, includes information on Washington Anderson; notes on the Anderson family around Anderson's entry, including corrections to the entry; On 1st blank leaf after text is information on Mabel & Fannie Taylor and their descent from Daniel Coleman. On next two blank leaves are affixed a clipping of an eulogy to Robert Hay Taliaferro.
A portion of the last page is missing, including text in the upper-left corner of page 825 and the upper-right corner of page 826.
