Welcome to Har din-Simmons!
Greetings from Your President Dr. Lanny Hall
Dear HSU Students
As we begin the 94-95 year I
welcome each of you to the HSU
campus. I always look forward to
the fall as students move into the
dorms classes convene and the
campus comes alive with activity.
This year you will notice a
number of campus improvements
which have been completed or are
underway. Take a look at the list:
The new bookstore is open and
ready for customers! Now located
in Moody Center the bookstore is
more convenient for everyone.
In response to student requests
telephones in the dorms now have
"call waiting call forwarding and
three-way calling" at no
additonal cost to students.
Walk up to the
second floor of ''
Moody Center.
(Or wait a
couple of moths
and ride the new
elevator.) The
Student Devel-
opment area has
a completely
new look.
Soon to be
completed the
basement level of Moody .Center
will provide new areat for stu-
dent recreation and retyxtion.
Stay tuned. . .The snack bar area
and the multi-purpose room (for-
merly the game room) will be
completely renovated inthe moths

ahead.
On the outside
the view front of
Moody will
change signifi-
cantly in the com-
ing months.
You're gonna
love it!
Scheduled for
construction over
the next five
months is the
Beazley White
Horse Center. Watch as it adds a
new dimension to Western Heri-
tage Complex on Grape Street.
Other campus improvements are
in store. As the year progresses
we will announce a number of
other changes 'hat should please
almost everyone.
While we talk a great deal
about improvements in our facili-
ties we need to .emember that we
have new facum staff new ad-
ministrators and a iiumberof new
programs. All of these "new" an-
nouncements have served to im-
prove our campus and .university
programs. This will be a great
year for all of us at HSU!
Finally I want you to know
that my family and I look forward
to moving into the President's
Home (formerly Ellis Center). We
