Governor Hobby has issued a proc-
lamation calling upon the people of
Texas to observe May 9th, next Sun
day, as “Mother's Day” and ask,
each individual to wear a white car-
nation as an emblem of the day.
Mother's day was first celebrated
in the United Stutes in 1910 and nas
been observed annually since that
time.
There are many tiling- that might
be done on that day for mother, mu
to let her know that she is appreci-
ated and loved. Let it really be
made a “Mother’s Day.”
