Alpine, The Last Frontier Land

Description: Research paper written by Delia Jurado about the history of Alpine, Texas. The paper covers Alpine from the time it was formed in 1882 as Murphyville until the 1930s. Also covered are the history of Sul Ross State University and its namesake, Lawrence Sullivan Ross. This paper was written in 1971 as a research project for a class at Marfa High School.
