McMichael refers to the request of a pre-parole investigation advising that a health report of Subject 95040 OP has been attached. Postscript by McMichael advises that a detainer filed against this subject by the Sheriff of Grayson County, Texas has been withdrawn making subject eligible for regular parole release on November 3, 1954. Attached is a letter written to Mr. R. N. McMichael, Placement Supervisor, Ohio Penitentiary from Richard H. Brooks, M. D., Medical Director, James Hospital dated August 26, 1954. Brooks advises McMichael that the medical records of Inmate No. 95040 have been reviewed and has retained the "No Occupational Restrictions" classification given shortly after arrival at the penitentiary.

Advisement from the State of Ohio that Subject 95040 was granted a parole with the stipulation that the Texas Authorities be notified but that they have not yet been advised whether or not Subject will be taken into custody. A request is made to have an officer investigate placement in Abilene, Texas and advises of attached classification material. Attached is a Request of Sending State (Ohio) for Investigation regarding Subject OP 95040 addressed to Jack Ross, Parole and Probation Compact Administration, Austin, Texas from G. R. Klopfenstein, Chief, Bureau of Probation and Parole, Columbus 15, Ohio dated August 19, 1954. Proposed Residence is Abilene, Texas.

Klopfenstein advises that in view of the information furnished to them in the letter from Ross that Subject 95040 has been recommended for parole violation. He advises that they may close their file but requests advisement if knowledge is secured of the "whereabouts" of the parolee.
