Mr. Brito was a high-ranking officer for Pancho Villa. He was killed by Mexican Federalists during a raid in Chihuahua. His wife died of old age in Marfa, Texas.

Photograph of the fort built by LC Brite after the Mexican raid on his ranch on Christmas Day in 1917. The Texas Rangers lived in the fort for several years after the raid. In this photograph, a young man (dressed in a light-colored shirt and chaps and wearing a cowboy hat) is sitting astride a horse. The horse is dark but has a white stripe down the middle of its face and three very short white socks. There is a coiled rope attatched to the saddle. They appear to be standing in a corral or yard of bare dirt. In the background, there is a wooden fence and a wooden structure with pegs and various items hanging on the side. There is also a sawhorse and several other objects on the ground to the right, in front of the building. A handwritten note on the back of the photograph says, "Gus Bogel 1916."

This photograph is a portrait of Sarah Newton Bogel. She appears to be middle-aged and is wearing a dress with a dark pattern and lace as well as a necklace. There is a typed caption under the photograph that says "Mrs. W. W. Bogel" as well as a handwritten note on the back that says, "Mrs. W. W. Bogel c. 1913." Additionally, there is a handwritten note accompanying the photograph that reads, "Mrs. William Woodworth (Sarah Newton) Bogel a real Marfa and Presidio County pioneer. She came to Marfa with her husband and daughter, Jessie - age 2 - in 1884. Photo made in 1913" signed "W. B. Hubbard."
