Patent for "a simple and inexpensive advertising device adapted to be placed on street corners and other public places and capable of exciting the curiosity and attracting attention, and thereby directing the attention of persons to the advertisement" (lines 11-16).

Patent for a simple and inexpensive andiron that can easily be moved and holds the logs in place. "The invention consists of an andiron having two dogs or members connected together and a fender removably connected to the front of said dogs and extending over the intervening space or opening" (lines 9-14).

Beer-Cooler.
Patent for an inexpensive and simple beer cooler that is used in bars, hotels, and other places that disperse beer in small amounts. The cooler has an ornamental appearance and is "adapted to thoroughly cool the beer by a consumption of a minimum amount of ice; to so construct the cooler as to adapt the same to serve as a refrigerator for the storing and cooling of bottled goods such as beer, ale, porter, &c., and furthermore to arrange the cooler in such manner as to permit of the introduction and removal of beer-kegs without the necessity of lifting the same from the floor" (lines 14-23).
Bicycle.
Patent for a bicycle that can be operated by the operator's hands or feet or both, and the motion used to operate the bicycle is that of rowing. "the rider must assume a position upon the machine corresponding to that assumed by an oarsman in a boat, and as the rider can work with both hands and feet all the energy and strength he is capable of exerting can be brought to bear upon the propelling mechanism in a most effective manner, and the seat can be rendered much more comfortable than at present and in no wise interfere with the rider's movements" (lines 18-27).

Breast for Cotton-Gins.
Patent for improvements in breasts for cotton gins: " My invention relates to certain improvements in the construction of gin breasts for cotton gins and consists in providing in conjunction with a gin breast an adjustable "up-per circle" to facilitate the formation of the roll, to prevent the seed cotton from overflowing from the gin breast as the roll rotates, and preserve the proper degree of contact between the gin saws and the roll" (lines 12-20).

Patent for a buckle attachment for buckles that do not use riveting, sewing or other fastening, "and when so placed together, and the strap inserted and buckled, the whole is as firmly held together as if riveted, sewed or fastened with any of the ordinary methods" (lines 13-16).

Patent for a car-replacer that is simple and inexpensive and can be easily set and removed. The replacer has two blocks shaped like triangles and tie rods connecting the blocks.

Patent for a car-wheel lubricator that can be easily used while the wheels are moving or still, and does not waste lubrication. It attaches to two railway wheels.
