Churn Motor.
Patent for a new and improved churn motor. This design consists in "[t]he combination, with a wheel or disk having a toothed periphery and provided with a broad friction-flange, or a disk at right angles to the former, bearing against its friction-flange, and having studs engaging its teeth . . . [also] [i]n a churn-motor, the combination, with the box or body of the cover, having uprights, [a] shaft having [a] crank, disk having teeth and [a] flange, and the vertical shaft having [a] disk, provided with studs" (lines 67-77).
Seeding Machine.
Patent for a new and improved seed planter. This design "relates to seeding-machines, and has for its object to provide a simple and efficient machine that will plant all kinds of grain or seed, and in which the mechanism can be readily and conveniently changed to adapt it to the different kids of seed" (lines 9-14).
Calf Weaner.
Patent for a new and improved calf weaner. This design consists in "a strap, ring, or belt surrounding the muzzle of the calf or other animal, and attached permanently by means of head-stall straps or other suitable-devices, the muzzle-ring being provided with radiating blunt-pointed wires of suitable length, whereby the calf is prevented from reaching the teat, and the mother, being irritated or titillated by the projecting wires, repulses the attempts of the animal to suckle" (lines 18-27).

A third and smaller hopper E can be interchanged with hopper C when planting seeds or grains. Hopper D is mainly for planting fertilizer. Patent for improvements to typewriting machines with the aim of providing "a machine of simple and durable construction, capable of use for the ordinary purposes to which type-writers are applied, but especially adapted and designed for typewriting upon blank books, thereby facilitating the making of official records and producing records that are more legible and compact than it is possible to obtain by handwriting" (lines 11-18).
