- Seed Planter.
- Patent for a new and improved seed planter. This design consists "[i]n a seed-planter, the combination of the seed wheel or disk having a series of seed cups or recesses in its periphery with a band or tire fitting upon the periphery of the disk having slots registering with the recesses and provided at one end of each slot with an inwardly-bent tongue forming an adjustable wall for each recess" (lines 32-39).

- Patent for a new and improved gate latch. This design consists "[i]n a gate-catch, the combination, with the gate and post of a cylinder having perforated lugs and removable heads, a locking-bolt, working in the cylinder and projecting above the plane of the gate, the said rod having a reduced portion or shoulder, a squared portion, and a right-angled locking foot, a spring arranged in the cylinder and secured at one end to the locking-bolt, and a horizontal catch-plate having beveled side edges and perforated lugs for securing the plate to the post" (lines 63-73).
