This design "relates to a novel and useful device which is adapted to be rigidly and substantially secured to the end of a rope, and which is constructed with a curved lip on its protruding end, so that when pressed over the loop of a snap-hook it will form a link or jointed connection of the snap-hook with the rope, ferrule, or clamp" (lines 12-19).
Patent for a new and improved sash-fastener. This design consists "[t]he combination, [of] an angle-bracket having an opening produced in its horizontal member wider at its top than at its bottom, and an essentially yoke-shaped bar passed through the said opening, [and] a thumb-lever hinged in the vertical member of the bracket, extending over and parallel with the horizontal member of said bracket, and a lip integral with the under edge of the lever, concavo-convex in cross-section, and capable of entering the opening in the bracket and contacting with . . . the yoke-like bar" (lines 7-19).
Patent for a new and improved valve. This design consists in "[t]he improved valve comprising the casing, having a horizontal passage reduced at its central point . . . and a vertical bore intersecting said reduced portion above the point of intersection to its lower end and being screw-threaded its entire length, a stem having a tapered lower portion, the entire stem being screw-threaded to engage the threads in the bore, and a plug removably inserted in the lower end of the bore" (lines 1-11).
