Description:
Script from the WBAP-TV/NBC station in Fort Worth, Texas, relating a news story about Europe's reaction to the published accounts of the Attica prison riot where 43 deaths occurred. The newspapers blamed racial tension and the U. S. penal system drove the inmates to the desperate uprising. Back in the United States, the first two funerals for guards slain in the prison riot will be held in New York and benefits amounting to three times the annual salary will be paid to the family of the guards.
