Description: Dr. L. A. Sharp poses with a pen in his hand behind a desk and in front of several bookshelves filled with bound volumes. A candlestick rotary-dial phone rests on the desk beside him, along with what appears to be a desk calendar and metal letter opener. Dr. Sharp was Chairman of the Graduate Council of N.T.S.C., now known as University of North Texas, from its inception in 1935 until his death in 1944, and before that had been on the faculty since 1925.
