Description: A glass slide showing a photograph titled "Brook and gorge of Cherith." The photograph, numbered No. 238, shows two Arab men sitting on the edge of the gorge. The brook is mentioned in the Hebrew Bible (1 Kings 17:3) as the site where the prophet Elijah hid himself and was fed by ravens during the early part of the three years' drought which he announced to King Ahab.
