Description: Letter from Victor Lauderdale to his father on American YMCA Stationary, dated May 11, 1919. The letter is brief and informs his father of a letter he enclosed for his mother in celebration of mothers day despite her death with the sentiment "We were with her in life; even so in death we shall be with her." He goes on to mention a trip to Belgium that he is contemplating taking before he comes back to the states.

Description: Fragments of an envelope, addressed to S. Lauderdale paired with a possible back page of a booklet which reads in French "Moreau Éditeur Versailles" with an insignia of a line with floral decorations running through it. The booklet leaf could be a possible souvenir from Lauderdale's time spent in France.

[A portrait of Col. Hugh B. Moore in uniform]

Description: A portrait of Col. Hugh B. Moore in Army uniform. The portrait has no background, but is mounted in the center of tan cardboard stock mat with an embossed stamp in the lower right corner reading "Photographie Victor Hugo 130 Avenue Victor Hugo." The folded cover paper has a round stamp affixed on the front which reads "Rancoule, Paris, 130 Av. Victor Hugo." The portrait was apparently taken in Paris, France during Col. Moore's service on General Pershing's staff.
