Reticule

Description: Reticule of blue stain with purple ribbon drawstring closure. Velvet diamond on front with beadwork pattern of a basket of flowers. Six bead covered spheres dangle from bottom (two missing). Bottom of bag tapers to a triangular point at the bottom. Two missing bead covered spheres are inside the bag. Measurements: 25 cm from top of the bag to bottom; 17 cm across measured from right before the bag begins to taper.

Mesh purse

Description: Purse of German or French silver mesh with scalloped fringe. Ornate silver frame in pentagon shape with blue cabochons at hinged ball twist closure; linked chain handle. Initialed "E. E." on inside of frame at closure. Measurements: 15.5 cm across base of frame; 17 cm from bottom of frame to bottom center, excluding fringe.

Velvet hat

Description: Hat of black velvet and satin. The crown is formed of stiffened circlet of black mesh overlaid with black velvet. The top of the crown is in two parts. The front is covered with black satin, pleated along edge to create fullness. The back of the top is of black velvet, full, and crushed, forming a surface somewhat like a beret. There is no brim, but at front the velvet crown flares out slightly giving the suggestion of a brim. Hat is lined in black satin which is in poor condition. No labels or… more
