Another hen can be seen at the right rear of a slatted chicken coop (?) next to a tree trunk near center of photo. There is another tree trunk enclosed by wooden fence on right. A wooden unpainted building in left background has the vertical writing "T W O (brand) Davis" printed between doors. There is a coat hanging to the right of the closed door. A wooden building can be seen over the top of the chicken coop; another wooden building partially seen on far right. Photograph of two hens and chicks in a yard. The photograph may have been taken at the rear of the J.H.P. Davis house, possibly the southwest portion of the yard. There is a picket fence that forms a right angle in the background that ends at a small wooden building (T W Davis building). To the left of the photograph is a tree trunk with a girl hiding behind it. On far left, there are wash pans in a rack which could be the back of cook's or wash house.
