1939 Inventory

Description: Inventory sheet from 1939 after the Danevang Famer's Co-operative bought out a local grocery store. The document lists all of the supplies in the store, with prices on the far right and a total price at the bottom, which has been crossed out with pencil. The actual price appears to have been written on the bottom left corner.

Description: Photograph of a two-story structure, identified as the Danevang Food Market, taken from the street. The walls of the building stagger upward creating a tiered facade. On the second floor, there are two double-hung windows. Four equally-spaced cables above them support the weight of an overhang that covers the front doors. [Danevang Band at City-Garage]

Description: Photograph of a group of people standing in front of an establishment known as "City-Garage" at El Campo, Texas. The store itself seems to have served multiple purposes, as advertisements on its front facade give notice to welding, grocery, and gasoline products. Red & White Grocery Store

Description: Copy negative of the Red & White Grocery store in Danevang, Texas. It is a large two-story structure with gable roofs and a tiered wall on the front facade that bears the name of the store as well as a much larger line of text that reads, "Farmers Co-operative Society, Inc."
