Heating Frame for Lamps.

Description: Patent for a new and improved heating frame for lamps. This design seeks to "simplify and improve the adjustable supports for the top plate upon which the vessel [to be heated] is supported; secondly, to improve the construction of said top plate . . . allowing the warm air to circulate both under and around the vessel . . . thirdly, to construct and combine the top plate and a base-ring with the supporting-rods in a firm, durable, and efficient manner" (lines 27-38).

Churn Power.

Description: Patent for a new and improved churn power. This design "relates to improvements in churn powers; and it consists of a plunger-shaft so connected to a wheel by means of a loose rod as to alternately raise or lower said shaft as the wheel rotates. The object of the invention is to accomplish the up-and-down motion and consequent agitation without the usual amount of labor" (lines 9-16).

Description: Patent for "an organized machine adapted to rapidly compress charges of cotton-seed meal into cakes of sufficient solidity to bear handling and removal to a press, whereby the oil is expressed therefrom, and to deliver said cakes at a point or points in convenient proximity to said press or presses, so that the time and labor involved in preparing the meal for the, press and of inserting it therein will be reduced to the minimum" (lines 9-18).
