Jackson discussing a meeting between the writer, Mr. Webb, and Mr. Acheson, and all three men making a trip from Abilene to Cross Plains, Texas over the "upper" or "Eula" line. The lower or Oplin line is mention as being urged by the Sweetwater people, but the writer decided against going that way.
