Sgt. George V. Huffmon, a nurse in the U.S. Army Medical Corps, is pictured in front of the Memorial to the Eight Medicine Students in Old Havana, Cuba. This photo is a much clearer duplicate of another which appears on a picture postcard addressed to a Miss Hallie Thurmon of Denton, Texas. Sgt. Huffmon was stationed in Cuba during the Second Occupation of Cuba which lasted from Sept. of 1906 to Feb. of 1909.

Written on the back is the notation, "Havana, Cuba, Nov. 2, 1906. George V. Huffmon, Co. B, Hospital Corps, USA; Camp Columbia, Havana, Cuba. A bad picture."
