Description: Postcard of a two story house with a balcony over the entrance, green window trim, with blue roofing and two red chimneys. The letter on the back of the postcard reads, "This home is over two hundred years old. I got your dear letter today and you know always enjoyed it, as [illegible] Marie." The postcard is addressed to "Miss M. McFaddin Beaumont, Tex. 1906 McFaddin Ave."

[Letter from Daniel W. Kempner to Jean E. Vesco, December 17, 1949]

Description: Letter from Daniel W. Kempner to Jean E. Vesco stating the cabins reserved for him are not acceptable as they are on A Deck, not the Main Deck, not on the south side of the ship, and do not have a tub bath. He asks that they hold the accommodations for him until better ones can be found and notes that one of the banks in New York has informed him that they could secure almost any accommodations for him on either the Ile de France or the Queen Mary.
