Postcard of a large stone monument near a white house. The monument's history is as follows, "The construction of this monument was begun 1825 and was not dedicated until June 17, 1843. It is 30 feet square at the base and 220 feet high." The letter on the back is illegible, and the postcard is addressed to "Miss M. McFaddin Huntington W. Va. 1141 3rd Ave."
