[Man and Child Standing Next to an Armadillo Statue]
Photograph taken during the filming of Necessary Roughness. In this photograph, a man holding a small child on his shoulders stands next to a statue of Rowdy the Armadillo, the mascot of the fictional Texas State Armadillos. The child smiles at the camera as he or she points at the statue. An older child wearing a sleeveless shirt and shorts stands on the other side of the statue. A cropped version of this photograph appeared on page 12 of the September 1991 issue of the North Texan. According to the caption that accompanied the photograph, the man's name is Ronald Edwards and the child on his shoulders is Deandre White. The statue, designed by Kathryn Kneip (class of 1990), was on temporary display in the Administration Building's lobby.
