According to Bravo, when orders were sent for him to report to the barracks, Mrs. Sanches said he had gone out; apparently he fled. Mrs. Sanches says that she should be punished for lying and helping him escape.

According to Vela, these individuals took two horses with them and Ramón is to send them back if they are found.
