Postcard of a group of firemen posing in the Hallettsville Fire Department's Horse and Fire Wagon on LaGrange Street in front of the Fire Hall. According to accompanying information, the persons in the wagon (left to right) are Richard Waltersdorf, John E. Buss, and O. T. East, and the horse is called "Headlight." "Fire Protection, Hallettsville, Texas" is printed beneath the image. On the back is a letter written to Mrs. Henry Messer in Shiner, Texas.

Postcard with a photograph of a fire at a building with a fire wagon working to try to put it out. The building is frozen on the outside, and all of the firemen on the right side are wearing coats due to the temperature; the note on the card reads: "Equitable Fire [] 1-9-12. 62 Cos on the job. This is Eng. Co. 156."

Postcard from J. D. Smith to George Pendexter with a photograph of the "Battle Creek Fire Engine at Kalamazoo, Mich. Dec. 9-1909 Burdick House Fire." Smith says that "Battle Creek was called at 12:50 A. M. at 2 A. M. we were there with our Engine Hose wagon." Postcard from F. A. Bruce to George Pendexter with a photograph of a large building on fire in Fort Wayne, Indiana; there is one fire truck in the photograph with hoses attached to it and other streams of water shooting at the flaming building. Postcard from J. P. Eagan to George Pendexter with a note on the back saying that Pendexter's fire truck should "be ready for shipment about Dec. 20th." He goes on the say that the photograph on the reverse side shows "#18 wagon just as the walls fell at general paper Co. fire May 23-1911. Postcard from W. B. Johnston to George Pendexter concerning fire engines and different cards to be sent. The photograph on the reverse side shows an old steamer engine, "Steamer #3" a part of the Battle Creek Fire Department in Battle Creek Michigan. There is a hose attached to the engine near the bottom while the steamer has smoke puffing out of the top.
