[Two Children at the Fish Pond]

Description: Photograph of the two children standing on large rocks at the edge of the Fish Pond at North Texas State Teachers College. The children's reflections can be seen in the water below. The Fish Pond, completed in October 1927 and located behind the Manual Arts Building, was removed from campus during the construction of the General Academic Building (circa 1977).

Description: Color postcard depicting a large home near a pond and some trees. The colors in the illustration suggest it is during sunset. Correspondence on the back reads,"Dear Dillie, Lyle is up and improving slowly. If she don't get a backset she will soon be well again. I will write you soon, write me when you can. [Flower in pond]

Description: Photograph of a flower lying in a pond at the Caddo Mounds historical cite, located in Alton, Texas. The cite features two earthwork platform mounds and one burial mound. The Caddo created the cite, circa 800 A.D., to be a cultural, economical and political epicenter for region that lasted for approximately 500 years. At their peak, the Caddo were the most highly developed prehistoric culture known within present day Texas.
