Description: The National Museum of the Pacific War presents an interview with Thomas Schoolcraft. Schoolcraft joined the Army Air Forces in 1942. He completed technical aircraft maintenance school and became an aircraft mechanic, working on B-29s. Schoolcraft became a hangar chief and an inspector. When he received the rank of staff sergeant in early 1944 he was promoted to flight engineer aboard a B-29.
