[A decorated pipe]
Description:
Black wooden mouthpiece attached to 2000.081.001a. Label on pipe identifies it as: "Pipe found on the Battlefield of San Jacinto the day after the battle. Supposed to be several hundred years old and former property of a German officer." The wooden mouthpiece is divided by metal rings into three separate portions. Two rings are missing and one is unremovable.
