Description: View of the field bleachers at Eagle Park at North Texas State College. Trees dot the foreground and tall, electric lights line the edges of the playing area. The field was constructed in 1913, and in 1927 steel stands were constructed to seat 2,200 on the west side of the field. The football field was part of "Eagle Park."

Sam Laney Tire Company and Service Station

Description: The Sam Laney's Tire Company and Service Station located at 502 N. Locust. The station originally opened in 1931 as the Laney & Craven Road Service Station and offered "washing, polishing and greasing," as well as being a Texaco Service Station. The name changed to Sam Laney sometime between 1932 and 1933. They began offering Firestone products in 1933. It later became the John Rochelle Station around 1942 and 1944.
