Following the theme of Stardust
the entire ceilliiR of the ball-room
was covered with sky blue paper
and the north and south ends of
the room draped In Ioiir sweeps.
A thunderbird Kiva symbol was
enclosed in a silver star at the end
of the room. Silver stars adorned
the blue sky. Completing the
theme favors were leather musi-
cal jewel cases which played
"Stardust."
Tables were lined with blue spun
Rlass flanked by silver stars and
gardenias. A centerpiece of sweet
peas and ferns included a moon-
light scene of a couple. Bouquets
of iris also adorned each table.

den Country Club course In Fort
Worth last Thursday.
Led by Dour Higgins and Doyle
Gilliam who shot two under par
69's the Rams had little trouble
blanking the Tribesmen. Higgins
beat Sim Thurman 6-5; TWC's
Billy Cole defeated Thurman and
Rowland 5-1.
Gilliam blasted James Graham
0-7; Ray Jefferson TWC edged
Horace Fowler 2-1; and the Rams'
duo of Gilliam and Jeffer3on de-
feated McM's Graham and Fowler

Indian Bond Honors Seniors
In Year's Final Concert
More than 450 persons including
large groups of high school stu
dents from Santa Anna Brcckcn-
ridgc Sweetwater and Abilene
crowded Radford Memorial audito-
rium Monday night to hear the
McMurry Indian band present Its
last scheduled concert of the year.
The performance the 62nd of
the year for Raymond T. By-
mini's 50 Indian bandsters wan
hailed an the finest concert of
the season by those In attend-
ance. Especially well received
were Oornetlst Jimmy A Id ridge's
solo "Carnival of Venice" by
Clarke and the singing of Nor-
ma Seehrlst who gave "Italian
Street Song."
Monday night's concert was a
"farewell performance" for five of
the band's members who will be
Included In McMurry's 1950 grad-
uating class. The program was
played in their honor. They aie
Audie Merrell. John Rimmer. both
charter members of the present
organisation; Bill Campbell a
three-year member; Norma Se-
ehrlst and Bill Goodwin who are
two-year members.
Highlights of the program in-
cluded "Atlantis" "Invitation to
the Dance" and "Beautiful Gala-
tea" overture. Elaine Isbell flute
soloist and Teddy Joe James hoi n
soloist were featured in the play-
ing of "Serenade" by Till.

march "Voice of the Guns" and
a Latin-American group "Jalou-
sy" "Broadcast From B1.17.il
"Polnclana" and "Mexican lt.it
