Indians Shave the Crusaders
By Trevan Burke
In their first con-
ference game of the
season the Indians of-
fense had their way with
the University of Mary
Hardin-Baylor Crusad-
ers cruising to a 41-25
victory this past Satur-
day at Indian stadium.
Offensively the
passing game was what
got the job done for the
Indians strong ground
game and QB Braxton
Shaver took full advan-
tage of the weak Mary
Hardin-Baylor second-
ary. Shaver ended the
day burning the Cru-
saders for 410 yards and
six touch downs through
the air. Reggie Sterns led
the way for the receiving
corps with 5 catches for
115 yards. Rory Peacock
added 7 catches for 89
yards and finished with
3 touch downs. Keidric
Dixon also had a good
day hauling in 6 passes
for 41 yards. Shaver

Habitat for Hu-
manity is an organiza-
tion that provides safe
affordable housing for
anyone eligible. This
program started by
Millard and Linda Fuller
in 1976 builds houses
that are not given away
but require the recipient
family to buy the house
by making payments on
interest free loans. The
down payment is 100
hours of sweat equity. In

Texas Lutheran like

of their team is true
freshmen so the experi-
enced Indian offense
shouldn't have a lot of
trouble moving the ball.
Expect the Indian's de-
fense to have some big
plays as the Tribe tries
to improve their record
to 4-1 and 2-0 in Con-
ference play.
