Meeting of Trustees of the Old Settlers Association, as announced at business meeting, aug [abbr: August] 19th. Present J. D. Woods, J. P. Loving, Dr. [abbr: Doctor] T. S. Freeman, Dr. R. L. Bullock, J. W. Vaden, W. P. Dugan, J. H. Dills, M. L. Webster

The minutes of the previous meeting rendering dispensed of by motion.

The election of officers being in order ensuing year.
J. D. Woods was elected President. R. L. Bullock, Vice President. J. P. Loving Sr. [abbr: Senior] secty [abbr: Secretary] and treasr [abbr: Treasurer]. Judge J. H. Dills was elected asst [abbr: assistant] Secretary, J. M. Binkley was elected Chaplain, W. S. Holt was elected Marshall all by acclamation.
The following by-laws were presented and taken up departure, and adopted by the board.

By-laws for the Goverment of the Old Settlers Association

FirstThere shall be elected by the association, at half after one o'clock on the last day of their annual Picnic in August of each year, Eleven Trustees, who shall hold their office for a period of one year.
And said trustees shall meet at a time and place designated on that day by the President of said Association, and at said meeting, said trustees shall elect the following officers towit. President of said associaton, Vice President, Secretary and Treasurer, and Asst. [abbr: Assistant] Secretary, Chaplain and marshall, who shall hold their office for ther period of one year.
The president and secretary shall appoint all necessary deputies and assistants to the secretary and marshall.

Second. There shall be an annual picnic of the Old Settler's association held at its park, commencing on Wednesday on or before the full moon in August of each and every year, and shall continue in Session so long as designated by the Trusfftees of the Association.
