Review of the Situation

The secretary has also learned in the school of Experience that public lectures, and extreme hot weather do not harmonize very well -
I was greatly disappointed in the outcome of Gov. [abbr: Govenor] Hubbard's lecture expecting to sell at least 500 tickets and realize at least 200.00 net for the Association - but only took in 31.50.

The secretary has also learned that to have 1000 Extra badges - expecting to realize from one to two hundred dollars is a failure - The fact is - I did not use the 2000 badges.
It was extensively circulated throughout the Park that we were charging for registering. They got this idea from the fact that I invariably asked the parties registering what amt [abbr: amount] they were willing to contribute to assist in paying expenses etc.

The secretary has also learned - that when he contracts a ptivilege - that it would be strictly business for the party to pay for said privilege, then and there - as several parties did so contract several days before the Picnic and they may now be in the Phillipine Islands. I have not heard of them since -

The Secretary has also learned from the experience of past reunions that it would be a matter of economy to have water pipes extended to the Park before our next reunion, also to have one or more wills dug to furnish stock water.
