As every -patron is with the superb- IMtLruaii
seven-dollar "Special" Photographs at three
dollars a dozen these questions are daily asked
ns: "How t can you do it and why do you do.
it?" 'Let us answer these inquiries fully and
frankly- It would not be possible to make this
remarkable offer if ours were a small studio do-
ing business on a small scale. Producing these
fine pictures in great quantities with an equip-
ment and organization perfected for executing
the most artistic work on a large scale making
favorable purchase of stock in large quantities
you can appreciate why with Feldman it is pos-
sible to make this remarkable proposition.
Appointments may be made to April 27th
and sittings to April 30th.

Ben Lomond Cal.. April 15. Three
founds of boxing- with big- black Bob
Armstrong- did not show up Jeffries
rery well. The big- -white man chased
the big: black all around the ring: but
30 visitors seemed to agree thai Jeff -was
far from his former self.
Sam Berger believes that -worry over
his -wife has something- to do -with it.
Mrs. Jeffries -will go under the surgeon's
knife Saturday at Oakland. Also today
is Jeffries's birthday his 35th according-
to Berger.
"Big Jeff" is now hard at it training
for the gTeat battle with "Jack" John-
son on July 4 next. The only fear that
"Jeff's" handlers have now is that the
big- fellow will work too hard and go
stale before the day of the fight. "Jeff"
is a glutton for hard work and never
seems to tire. "Sam Berger" is in
charge of the training camp and has a
great retinue of fighters who are pre
paring "Jeff" for his engagement with
the negro boxer.
Birthday of Fiffhtcr.
This is Jeffries's 35th birthdayanni-
versary but owing to the ln-iess of Mrs.
Jeffries and the gloom cast over the
fighter by the pending operation on her
the festivities planned for the event
were abandoned.
Yesterday for the first time in many
years Jeffries faced a negro 'in the
ring. On this occasion as on the pre-
vious one Bob Armstrong was the
black. He has been added to Jeffries's
training camp because of his long asso
ciation with Johnson with whose style
of fighting he is thoroughly familiar.
Jeffries made no attempt to unlimber
his heavy fistic artillery. His train-
ers have pointed out to him the urgent
necessity of taking up preliminary work
slowly and Jeffries apparently is heed-
ing the advice.

April 30 with MorencI.
Phil Caul who played with Clifton
all of last season has been traded by
Scranton N. T. State league to York
of the Tri-State for "Bad" Gleason
the former Philadelphia inffelder.
"Ruby" Ward the Clifton boy who
played with Bisbee last year failed to
make good with Vernon it is reported
and it is understood that he is trying
to sot a try out with the Douglas combination.
Donovan's Doughty Douglas Demons
don't daunt Harbuck's Huskies.
The score board is too small. There
was not sufficient room on which to
write the extra innings Sunday. Better
prepare for some more games like that
this season.
El Paso can hit; El Paso can run and
that is the whole game.
Better oil up the pitching staff a
little so they won't get stiff Harbuck.
Harry Potter wears a winsome smile
when he sees the crowds coming in the
gate. He ought to watch them when
they try to wriggle out.
"Whitey" Hewitt has won a season
meal ticket already.
El Paso develops fast players other
cities take them and don't even say
thanks. Let us have a protective tariff.
They say that Dugau the manager of
the Cananea team is Irish. Dugan says
he is proud of it and an Irishman
knows how a club ought to be swung.
There were 5000 at the game last
Sunday or nearly that many and the
game was great. Watch the attendance
grow.
EI Paso is booked for the most suc-
cessful baseball season in its history.
Wylie get your hair cut. The fans
like that shaved head; it looks funny
on the coaching lines.
Merritt Is a good name for an Al
catcher and he is.
El Paso fans don't make enough
noise and yet they have big voices.

Cananea Mexico April 15. The Can-
anea team for the season is now in
splendid shape. Anderson a new pitch-
er who is coming from Seattle will be
here In a few days and then the en-
tire team -will have been gathered to-
gether for the work before it. The
Cananea fans are enthusiatic oyer the
success of their team and the manner
in which they defeated the" strong EI
Paso team in the second game in that
city recently leads to the belief thai
the Cananea players are going to be as
strong as any other team in the league.

STUDENTS PLAN
FOR FIELD MEET
Let us remind you that the first important thing to do tomorrow morning is to .

of special values we have hundreds of other good wholesome articles that will as-
sist in making the dinner a success. Before it gets too warm we suggest -that

ies come from our store you will receive all lands of compliments so there is no
need running a risk of spoiling the dinner and you would not run any chance if
you selected our goods. If it is inconvenient for you to visit our market tomor-

Southwest Federation to
Meet at A. &M. College
on May 7.
Agricultural College N. M. April 15.
The federation track meet that was
to have been held in El Paso early in
May has been changed and will be held
at the college instead. The teams that
are expected to participate in this meet
are the El Paso high school the El Paso
Military institute the Bisbee high
school the university of Arizona
Colonia Juarez the El Paso T. M. C. A.
and the A. & M. college.
This track meet will be one such as
has never before been held in the ter-
ritory and some 20 medals have been of-
fered for the various events. Each
participating school and institution will
be on Its mettle as each will naturally
desire to be the winner of the largest
track event ever held in the south-
west The college has a number of men
out each morning and evening.
The local meet will be held the week
before the federation meet and It is
hoped by the management that this
meet will help to defray the expense of
having the work done on the track and
of getting the new materials that will
have to be used in such an event as the
large meet on May 7.
As If the custom the students will
have a half holiday on the local field
day and in the evening the regular field
day ball will be given in Hadley hall.

Douglas Demons nna Harbuck's Hus-
kies met for their first games of the
season Fridaj- afternon- at Washington
Park.
According to the El Paso under-
standing of the thing it is the third
game of the 1910 season following the
initial Cananea meeting. But Douglas
promoters have termed it "an exhibition
game" and not of the regular schedule.
The strained feeling about that schedule
has not yet been settled.
Douglas players arrived Friday
morning after two hard wallops at the
hands of Bisbee. The Demons lost the
first game 9 to 5 and the second 9 and
2. But the defeats are blamed on a
pitcher'; being a little off his feed and
strong team work is pointed to with
pride.
fevr Man Comiiif?.
Befqre the three games here are
ended Friday Saturday and Sunday
the visiting team will be reinforced
with a strong man Will Harper. Billy
has been playing with the Ft. Worth
club of the Texas league but is known
well by Cactus fans. He has signed
with the Demons and will arrive Sat-
urday it is hoped m time to officiate
in left field for the visitors.
Charles Scott a Douglas merchant
and one of the club directors has ar-
rived as manager pro tern of the team
in place of manager D. A. O'Donovan.
Mr. O'Donovan was compeled to remain
at home on account of his baby's se-
rious illness.

Tommy Smith captain in 1909 of the
Springfield Mo.. Midgets of the West-
ern association and the premier short-
stop of the league plays the same posi-
tion with Douglas. Tommy u;ed to con-
trol an unlimited number of sacriice
bunts that made good and may attempt
to use them while in El Paso. He was
also long on hitting. The Midgets un-
der the captaincy of Smith last vpiv
headed the league until near the close '
