EX-STUDENTS, COME BACK HOME!!HERE'S THE PROGRAM
Houstof Exes To Fete Prexy
At State Convention
A highlight of-the State Baptist
Convention, to be held in Houston
from November 12 to 15, will be. a
dinner given in honor of Dr. and Mrs.
White by the Houston H-SU Ex-Stu-
dents Club. John Camp, president of
the Houston group, has advised that
the . dinner will be at six o'clock,
Thursday afternoon, Novemriber 14, at
the Rice Hotel. The Association is
especially anxious for our exes to at-
tend this affair, inasmuch as it will
not only enable our new President to
meet many of you from all sections
of the state, but it will help the in-
fant Houston Club to accomplish
something really big. Canip is espe-
cially anxious for exes who reside in
and around houston to come to the
affair. Here is his letter:
Dear Sir:
This is to confirm my wire of No-
vember 1, as-follows:
"Hardin-Simmons ex-students ban-
quet incident to Baptist State Con-
vention will be held at the Rice Hotel
Thursday evening, November 14, _at
six. Plates one dollar, each. Plan-
ned that tickets 'will be on sale at
Hardin-Simmons booth in City Audi-
torium the convention headquarters."
We are counting on Doctor White
being here and would appreciate your
giving the matter due advertisement
in your bulletin. We expect to have
out a large number of Houston Exes
of whom there are over fifty. I would
also appreciate your sending me as
soon as possible a list of all Exes re-
siding in this territory so special in-
vitations can be sent them.
I wonder if any quartet or other
musical entertainment is coming from
Hardin-Simmons to the Convention.
If so we would like to get them on
our program here and would appreci-
ate your advising me in the premises.
We would not want them to come just
to be on our program, but if they are
coming anyhow we could use them.
Yours very truly,
JOHN L. CAMP.'Friday Night-November 22nd
