will open its doors the last day of the T.L.A. meeting.
The annual spring meeting of the East Texas Historical Associa-
tion will be held in Henderson on Saturday, March 16. The morning
sessions will meet in the Community Center, and that afternoon the
group will visit the Howard House, 'which is currently under res-
toration.
Growth has been the watchword of the Rocky Mountain Social
Science Association. Membership has increased in terms of numbers,
geographic representation, and .variety of disciplines. The Rocky
Mountain Social Science Journal, edited by Sidney Heitman, has ma-
tured into a respected scholarly publication and has moved to two
issues a year, with expectation of quarterly status in the near future.
The annual meeting of the RMSSA will be held at Loretto Heights
College and the University of Denver on May 3 and 4. Robert P.
Browder of Kansas State University will chair the history section
meetings. The program will feature section meetings for several other
disciplines, including African studies, American studies, economics,
geography, political science, and sociology.
The Texas Gulf Coast Historical Association recently announced
the establishment of the Cullinan Publication Fund in the amount of
$10,000. The Cullinan Fund will be used to subsidize the publication
of monograph or .book length manuscripts in the field of business
history, with special consideration being, given to manuscripts relat-
ing to the Texas petroleum industry. Inquiries should be addressed

The Texas State Historical Survey Committee and its private
affiliate, the Texas Historical Foundation, held their 1967 annual
meeting in Galveston, October 26-28. Speakers of state-wide note in
various fields of historical endeavor covered "The State Archaeolog-
ical Program," "Authentic Restoration," the "Texas Travel Trails,"
"A Comprehensive Museum Program," and a "Progress Report on the
