'ITH Pride, our steadfast Faith in this growing
community of Canadian, We proclaim, as Faith-
fully, our Pride in her Industries, her Products
and her Mercantile Institutions. It is not an empty
boastfulness that leads us to assert this Pride. Nor is
it mere "Civic Feeling." Rather is it a seeking and an
atta'r 'rgof Excellence .... Excellence in the goods
we sell, and in our Ideals of doing business. We live up
to that Pride by patronizing home institutions; by Buy-
ing at Home. For it is our firm belief that only by build-
ing up these institutions can we Build Canadian ....
that only by proving our confidence in her own stores
and products, can we add to her Prosperity.
To show our thankfulness for the many blessings heaped on this community the past year and out of respect for
Thanksgiving Day, we the undersigned merchants and business men of Canadian agree to close our places of busi-
ness all day, Thursday, November 28.
