Obituary
MEaine M. oung was born on October 10, 1937 to
Loving and supportive parents Charles and 9v(arie
Stevenson in San Antonio, Texas. She was an only child.
9vlrs. Young attended schooLs in San Antonio School
Districtgraduating from PhitLis Wheatley High School
in 1956. She aLso attendedSt. Philip's College and Our
Lady Of The Lake 'University.
96s.7oung was united in holy matrimony to Emanuel
7oung for 44 years, who preceded her in death in 1998.
At an earLy age, she was baptized and accepted Christ
as her personal savior and deveLoped a Loving Christian
fellowship for over 50 years at Corinth Baptist Church.
She workedas a substitute teacher for the San Antonio
School District for many years until her faiing health
forced her to resign. Ms. Young was active in many
community endeavors including the Ladies Auxiliary to
'Veterans of Foreign Wars.
On Monday, August 10, 1998, Elaine was called home
from Labor to reward.
She (eaves an abundance of fond memories to be cher-
ishedby her parents Charles and Marie Stevenson; three
aunts, georgene Bias, Marion Fawcett and He(en
Mayes; two uncles, James Bias and Henry Rss, Jr. In
addition, there are cousins and Loving friends who will
miss her greatly, among her special friends were
