Text: Dear Mary Jane - The Red Cross girl has just come around and given us all some V-mail, so I thought I would try to write you a note. I am lying in a nice comfortable bed with white sheets and white blankets. But the doctors and nurses and medics are very nice to us here. We are getting better treated than we were at the other hospitals. The reason I'm here is a "[...]" sent me a [...] for a Christmas present the day before Christmas, but the damn thing exploded, and a piece of it got stuck in my leg. A doctor to[ok] the piece out for me, though, and the hole doesn't hurt hardly any now. It really is not bad. I was lucky to have that picture of you in the [...] in my pocket so I still have it. I lost everything I didn't have on my person. I guess [...] try to borrow a razor now - I haven't shaved for two weeks. Good nite little sister. Love - Rog.
