The second men's league got un-
derway at Breck Lanes Thursday,
the Thun.lay Night Ten Pinners,
with The Man's Shop team taking
team high score honors with a
total of 2,243 for the evening--
play.
Guinn Ferguson, of the Hub
Clothiers team had the high in-
dividual score with a 202 for his
second game. Gaylord Crowley of
Tolle's Cleaners team had the high
series, bowling 193-155-181 for a
high total of 529.
J. C. Squires lead The Man's
Shop team with a 518, Weldon
Rogerr had 484. Joe Pechatek had
a 429, D. C. Pitts oowled 428 and
Pat Foy had 384 for a team total
of 2,243
Hub Clothiers defeated the Ran-
ger T-P Coal and Oil by the
score of 2.037 to 1.906. The Man's
Shop took .1. E. Cox Trucking 2.243
to 2,220. Boswell Dairy Hefeated
hurmon Furniture 1.962 to 1,736
Tclle's Cleaners took T-P Coal and
Oil cf Breckenridge by the score
of 2,128 to 1,759.

The law provides that when the population of a
County drops below 10,(100, the separate office of
Assessor and Collector of Taxes is no longer authorized,
and the Sheriff must take over the duties of this office.
Tax-paying voters, however, may keep these offices
separate by voting at a special election to add an Assess-
or-Collector of Taxes to the list of authorized county
officials.
The County Commissioner's Court has called such
an election for Tuesday, September 20, 1960. Printed
on the ballot will be:
"FOR ADDING AN ASSESSOR-COLLECTOR OF
TAXES TO THE LIST OF AUTHORIZED
COUNTY OFFICIALS.
"AGAINST ADDING AN ASSESSOR COLLECT-
OR OF TAXES TO THE LIST OF AUTHORIZED
COUNTY OFFICIALS.
All regular voting places will be open from 8 a.m.
until 7 p.m.

City Hall, Breckenridge, Texas.
The Cit\ reserves the right to waive any or all formali*
ties and to reject any or all bids or to accept any propos-
al deemed in the best interest of the City.
Special consideration will be given those packer manu-
facture's who bid trucks to be purchased from a
Breckenridge truck dealer.
