News From Other Campuses
Southwest State College wants
to start beating those bushes now
that spring is here. The bushes in
disfavor grow on the campus and
give off an odor that is strong
.enough "to knock the average per-
son on his ear. The college star de-
scribes the smell as something
. akin to rancid purex.
The TCU Skiff sites ex-students
_Whd chose careers just a little dif-
ferent, One couple now operate
an egg farm which employs 125
boys to deliver eggs to' the door
each morning. A 1962 Magna cum

Vegas's Hotel Tropicana. Another
graduate is singing with the Me-
tropolitan Opera.
The Lone Star Lutheran quieted
the fears of students who heard
there was to be a tuition increase.
Completely untrue! There will be
an increase in dormitory fees.
The Wichitan says TCU is suf-

a Oops' As a spellbound audience
Watched, "Cyrano de Bergerac"
drew toward its opening-night
close at Midwestern University.
The mortally - wounded Cyrano,1
'staggered center-stage, dropped
his sword, and collasped into the
arms of his friends. Unfortunate-
ly, the beautiful last line had to
be delivered behind the broad
backs of two actors, Cyrano's
monstrous putty nose had collasp-
ed with the actor;
ACC known for outstanding-
track men is now giving the title
"Dog of the Week" to the member
of the track team who give the
outstandingly bad performer in
the track meet. The "Dogs" of the
West Texas Relays modestly give
the credit to a hangnail on a big
tow and the other claims he
could's have done it without that
lopsided shotput.
With all the fuss heard from
state colleges about the increase
in tuition, the Cougar of the Uni-
versity of Houston reports that its
tuition will recrease when it be-
comes a state-supported school in
the fall of 1963.

At one end was a pen in which
Dogpatch animals, a dog, some
chickens, and a goat, were housed
for the evening.
