Little Joe
comes to
Tarleton
By Roderick Richardson
Managing Editor
It was the perfect night for a concert. The
weather was cool and windy, and everybody were warming
themselves by huddling up with one another, by blankets
or by dancing. Whatever the case, they were all enjoying
the Tejano sounds of Little Joe y La Familia and opening
act Aftershock.
Entertaining crowds is nothing new to Little Joe
Hernandez, of Temple; neither is playing music.
Hernandez has been in this business for 30 year;;. His
family, on his father's side are very musically incline.
Hernandez made his beginnings as a musician just like
any other act, with a garage band.
"I guess what I did is turn it into a business and
I was very fortunate to survive as long as I have," said
Hernandez.
He made music his business by establishing his
own record label company in 1968 called "Bueria Suerte"
(translated "G06d Luck). His goal was to produce and
promote young talent
