Local Scouti Take Initiative in Effort
Boy Scouts of the Sabine Are
Council ere taking the initiative
in a new effort to display the
United States fla? at their homes,
especially on holidays..
"In so doing, scouts and their
leaders are encouraging ail citi-
zens to cooperate in this patriotic
effect," Waiter R. Baterhen, pres-
ident of the Sabine Area Council
said.
"Over the years, the Bay Scouts
of America has encouraged the
use and display of the flag of the
United States as an external sym-
bol of the freedom and privileges
we enjoy as Citiiens," Bateman
said. -
