all more or less known as fine
hunting preserves for the fleety
we)-foots, as well as snipe,
swamp-rabbits and occasionally,es and a number of huge forest
trees submerged in the lake water,
with some ducks and water hens
gathered around a tree stump,
(under some moss-laden old hack-
berry trees). One of the old for-
est monarchs, fronting the boat-
