Tbe polls opened this morning quietly

the elly precincts hsd been polled.
Everything at the polls was done de
cently and In order and while tbe
trlkers were there In large numbers
thero was less disposition on their part
o worry and to harass voters than In
former years. It was manifest that a
general game of "watch" was being
played by representatives of the various
arllea and as a result the parti
sans are kept within the bounds
of taw and reaaon.
