Of all the things beneoth the skies
An ugly wall I do despise;
"Hygienic" is of all the best
As it has stood for years the test.
The buok of colors tells the tale
Of which none are so-called "stale".
The newest tiling in tan or rose
Which appear in such repose;
With mission finish a proper green
And ceiling of nile or cream such scene.
There are others tc harmonize as well.
Look .them up and you can tell. '
Besides the finish so velvety and soft
Brings it out so far aloft;
Shows no mark of brush or lap
As others do an ugly gap.
So to get of all the boss
Don't forget to go to Cross.
The many friends of Miss Sarah
Kenedy are much interested in the
announcement of her approaching
marriage to Lamar Gill who is
employed as bookkeeper at the
Sprague ratieh the date chosen for
this event being Wednesday
Feb. 7. .The happy man is the
'son of one of the old and well
known families of Liveack county
his father being a prominent
stockman of that section. It is
understood that this will be an
early morning wedding in time
for the bridal pair to catch the
morning train for their wedding
journey. They expect to make
their home at Corpus Christi.
The friends here of Rev. Lean-
dro Mora formerly pastor of the
Mexican Presbyterian congrega-
tions of Brownsville and Mat am o-
ros who moved from here some
time ago to Linares Mexico re
gret very much to learn that his
daughter Miss Cristina Mora has
been in exceedingly bad health
for some time. Miss Mora is said
to be suffering from nervous
prostration haviug been at a hos-
pital in Monterey for some weeks.
Lately it was decided that it would
be better for her to go to a sanita-
rium at San Antonio and through
the assistance of former friends
here this has been done. Quite a
number of our people of various
denominations have done what they
culd to assist this most deserving
young lady and all hope sincere-
ly that she . may be restored to
health by the treatment which she
will receive at San Antonio.
